Baileys Trail Crew Member AmeriCorps
Serve in a crew of members with the Outdoor Recreation Council of Appalachia (ORCA) to aid in trail maintenance throughout the Bailey’s Trail system including brushing and clearing the trail corridor, maintaining a properly-shaped trail tread, and addressing trail drainage issues. Also aid in community volunteer events and projects at other trail systems and recreation assets in the region as time allows.

Trail Maintenance Manager
The Trail Maintenance Manager plays a vital role in supporting the operations and programmatic work of the Outdoor Recreation Council of Appalachia (ORCA). This position serves as the primary contact and manager of maintenance and of the Baileys Trail System, operating pursuant to ORCA's adopted maintenance protocols and collaborating with partners including the Wayne National Forest and Athens Bicycle Club. Operations Manager
The Operations Manager plays a vital role in supporting the operations and programmatic work of the Outdoor Recreation Council of Appalachia (ORCA). This position will serve as a mulit-faceted team player—bridging administration, communications, and program delivery—to ensure smooth organizational function and effective implementation of ORCA’s mission. Stewards VISTA: Outdoor Recreation Council of Appalachia-AmeriCorps
This AmeriCorps Program is designed to strengthen economic resilience in coal-impacted Appalachian communities by leveraging outdoor recreation, heritage assets, and place-based development to address root causes of poverty.This AmeriCorps Position supports Southeast Ohio communities by building internal systems, planning tools, and documentation frameworks that enable sustainable outdoor recreation initiatives, workforce pathways, tourism development, and small business growth. Guided by values of collaboration, environmental stewardship, and long-term community capacity, the member’s service will enhance ORCA’s ability to coordinate regional efforts and advance economic opportunity beyond the term of service.
